#268; A Moral Dilemma

special note for international readers and others who may not be familiar: hot topic is a chain of clothing and accessories stores in suburban shopping malls. they sell a bizarre combination of naughty novelty toys, leather goth gear like corsets and high boots, and a wide variety of trendy and ironic logo t-shirts with 'clever' sayings and nintendo characters and the emblems of punk rock bands that were big a decade before the average hot topic customer was born. it is the dictionary definition of over-the-counter counterculture.

Convention season is starting soon! I hope to be at six major shows this year, all around the country. The first will be STAPLE!, which takes place on March 3rd in Austin, Texas. My colleagues-in-comics Chris and Colleen made quite the splash at last year's show and I'm looking forward to joining them this year! I am working feverishly to have new fun goodies to share with you when I come to your town.*
